(Bqp.vn) - Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien received Singaporean Defense Attaché to Vietnam Colonel Low Teck Loong on October 7 in Hanoi.

At the reception, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien praised the effective bilateral defense cooperation in such areas as delegation exchanges at all levels, particularly high-level ones, and dialogue mechanisms, including defense policy discussions at the deputy ministerial level.

He hoped that Colonel Low Teck Loong should continue coordinating with agencies of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense to promote cooperation between the two defense ministries in the future. He affirmed that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense is ready to send delegations to conferences, seminars, and forums hosted by Singapore, such as the Shangri-La Dialogue and the Singapore Airshow.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien emphasized that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense would create favorable conditions for Colonel Low Teck Loong to have a successful working term in Vietnam.

For his part, Colonel Low Teck Loong highly appreciated the effective cooperation between the two defense ministries over the past time. He stressed that in his position, he would work closely with Vietnamese defense agencies to enhance bilateral defense cooperation in the time to come.
