During the 2010 - 2020 period, UXO detection and clearance were carried out nearly 500,000 ha at a total cost of more than 12 trillion VND, including the domestic budget and foreign non-refundable aid. Over 5,000 UXO victims and other affected people have received assistance in health care and vocational training. Besides, hundreds of thousands of people, especially those in the areas heavily polluted with UXO, have accessed methods for preventing UXO accidents. The above positive results have brought safe life for the people and made an important contribution to the socio-economic development of the country.
