(Bqp.vn) - On March 15th, at the Headquarters of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang hosted a reception for Thai Ambassador Nikorndej Balankura who came to bid farewell when finishing his working term in Vietnam.

Speaking at reception, General Phan Van Giang expressed his sincere gratitude to Ambassador Nikorndej Balankura for his efforts in advancing the strengthened strategic partnership between Vietnam and Thailand. He expressed his belief that Ambassador Nikorndej Balankura would continue to strengthen Vietnam - Thailand relations in the coming time.

General Phan Van Giang emphasized that in recent times, Vietnam and Thailand have attached importance to and maintained the promotion of bilateral defense cooperation in various areas, including effectively maintaining mechanisms for defense policy dialogue and consultation; training; maritime security and safety; mutual support in multilateral forums, especially within frameworks of the ADMM and ADMM-Plus, etc.

For his part, Ambassador Nikorndej Balankura respectfully thanked the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense for its support and close coordination during his working term in Vietnam; affirming that he would continue to make efforts to contribute to the growing relationship between the two countries.
