(Bqp.vn) - Defence Minister General Phan Van Giang hosted a reception for Cuban Minister of Construction René Antonio Mesa Villafana in Hanoi on July 24.

General Phan Van Giang emphasized that the special relationship between Vietnam and Cuba has been cultivated and developed by generations of leaders of the Parties, States, Peoples and Armies of the two countries.

General Phan Van Giang stressed that Vietnam appreciates Cuba’s experience and strength in the field of construction. In the coming time, General Phan Van Giang proposed that the two sides continue to coordinate and focus on completing the ongoing projects within the prescribed time frame; at the same time, consider expanding cooperation activities in the construction sector, in line with the capabilities of both sides as well as the current regulations, laws, and international practices on construction cooperation and bidding.

At the reception, Minister René Antonio Mesa Villafana sent the condolences to Vietnam over the passing away of Party Secretary General Nguyen Phu Trong.
