ActionsMilitary Medical Academy receives noble order
(Bqp.vn) - The Millitary Medical Academy on March 8th organized a ceremony to receive the third class Independence Order on its 65th founding anniversary (March 10th).
In his speech, Lieutenant General Nguyen Tien Binh, Head of the Academy gave a briefing on the unit’s growth and outstanding achievements over the past 65 years.

The academy has so far trained nearly 90,000 medical staff, over 800 doctors and more than 8,000 masters. It has also completed over 900 scientific researches and many of them had been applied in reality. Attentively, the Hospital 103 under the academy has succeeded in various complicated organ transplant. Lately, the hospital successfully performed the 1st pancreas-kidney transplant from a brain-dead donor. Besides, its subordinate units have become reliable addresses for both troops and people.
The academy was presented with the Golden Star Order, the Ho Chi Minh Order, the titles “Hero of the People’s Armed Force” and Labour Hero and other prestigious awards.
Acknowledging its achievements, the Party and the State has decided to present the academy an Independence Order on its 65th founding anniversary.
Minister of National Defence General Phung Quang Thanh pinned the order on its “Determined to Win” military flag and handed over it the certificate.
Addressing the event, General Phung Quang Thanh praised the academy for its achievements and laid stress on its fulfillment of three missions: training, research and treatment.
Having analysed current situations and missions of the army, General Thanh asked the academy to focus on the mission of building a strong party committee, regularity and improving the material and spiritual life of troops. The general also asked the academy to pay much attention to improving the quality of training and scientific research and learning experiences from other countries to better serve troops and people.
