US-supported project sustains Vietnam’s HIV/AIDS response

(Bqp.vn) - The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on August 5 launched a two-year project that seeks to improve community response to the HIV epidemic by strengthening the ability of local organisations to reach the most at-risk populations and link them with appropriate HIV services.

(Bqp.vn) - During a meeting held by the national steering committee on avian flu prevention and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai asked relevant agencies and localities to take drastic measures to fight the disease, as it was likely to spread widely and pose greater risk of transmission to humans with diverse dangerous flu viruses.
