(Bqp.vn) - Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San chaired the conference of the Ministry of National Defense (MND)’s Steering Committee for Exhibition on National Achievements on September 4 in Hanoi.
According to reports delivered at the event, the MND’s indoor and outdoor display areas have attracted and welcomed numerous delegations and over 1.2 million visitors. The organizing board has arranged reception teams, guides, and interpreters with courtesy and professionalism, ensuring absolute security and safety throughout all activities.

Units with exhibited products have strictly adhered to regulations on technical operational procedures, ensuring 100% of weapons and equipment on display were properly preserved and maintained. Enhanced measures for fire prevention, technical assurance, and protection of equipment against weather conditions have been also implemented.
The General Department of Defense Industry distributed more than 140,000 bottles of water and 162,000 packets of dried rations to the public and service forces. Military medical units were on standby to promptly provide examinations, treatment, and medicine for visitors.
A large number of press agencies have covered the activities at the MND’s display areas, highlighting its remarkable achievements. Notably, these agencies have mainly focused on reporting impressions of both domestic and international visitors regarding the exhibition areas and displayed items. Short video clips have been produced and rapidly spread on social media, thus timely updating the MND’s distribution of water and field rations to the public.
In general, the MND’s exhibition space has attracted a large number of daily visitors and served as a highlight of the exhibition. Many were deeply moved by the historic stories, expressing their pride in the traditions and strength of the Vietnamese People’s Army, while being impressed by the highly interactive activities that combined history, technology, education, and inspiration in the MND’s exhibition area.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Sr. Lt. Gen. Phung Si Tan emphasized that the MND’s exhibition space was the focal point of the event, engaging attendees with its rich and meaningful content. He also commended the high sense of responsibility of officers, soldiers, and service forces, noting their discipline, professionalism, and their contribution to strengthening military–civilian relations.
In his remarks, General San stressed that this large-scale national exhibition had received great attention from the Party, the State, and the people. On behalf of the steering committee, he praised all participating units for successfully accomplishing their missions, thereby contributing to the overall success of the exhibition.

Looking ahead, with the exhibition extended until September 15, the deputy defense minister requested participating units to continue to ensure the exhibition space is well-maintained and personnel remain fully prepared for duties.
He also underscored the importance of security and safety regarding weapons, equipment, personnel, and fire prevention, along with the proper performance of media, logistics, and medical tasks. He also highlighted the need for continued communications, logistics supplies, medical readiness to serve both troops and people, as well as emulation and commendation activities to foster a celebratory and patriotic atmosphere during the national event.
